Mike / Chief

Mike is another brother who has been with the band from the very start, on bass guitar. He didn’t ever pick up a guitar until the band and it’s something he learned mostly on his own, in his own style. You can hear influences of 80s and 90s rock such as Skynyrd and Godsmack in the way he plays. He sings backup vocals on many songs and lead vocals on a select few songs.
Often we give him a hard time for being the single band member people approach while we’re playing – near the stairs or closest to the edge of the stage. He’s tried moving back and out of the way to see if people will still attempt to get a word in or suggest a song for us to play.
We use Mike’s shop as a practice area and storage for the equipment and trailer. His neighbors know us from when we open the overhead door in good weather to practice. One thing to know about Mike: he has an inside joke or story to tell for just about everyone. His impressions with facial expressions and voices cannot be forgotten. Ask him about some memorable shows we’ve played. He remembers something from EVERY one – they are memorable!
